Shenzhen Airport (Group) Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “the Company”) was established in April 1989 with the approval of Shenzhen Municipal People’s Government. It is a wholly state-owned limited liability company authorized for operation by Shenzhen Municipal People’s Government, and serves as the managing body of Shenzhen Bao’an International Airport (“Shenzhen Airport”). Its main business covers investment, construction and operation of Shenzhen Airport (including supporting terminals); operation, management and supporting services for air transport of passengers and cargo; comprehensive development of land lots designated by the government for the Airport City; investment and operation of airport-driven industries. By the end of 2025, the Company had total assets of RMB 56.25 billion and net assets of RMB 42.47 billion.

Shenzhen Airport is situated in the “Golden Inner Bay” of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and at the heart of the Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong Economic Belt, with its scope now incorporated into the Qianhai Shenzhen-Hong Kong Modern Service Industry Cooperation Zone. The area is planned to feature a total of 10 rail lines and is surrounded by six high-speed roads. It boasts a national first-class passenger terminal, making it an efficient and convenient transportation hub that combines aviation, maritime transport, highways, high-speed rails, urban rails and subway. In 2025, Shenzhen Airport set new records in three major indicators since its operation. In terms of passenger traffic, the annual passenger throughput reached 66.48 million with an 8.1% YoY increase; passengers from the west side of the Pearl River amounted to approximately ‌1.1 million with over ‌30%‌ YoY increase; international and regional passenger throughput reached ‌6.34 million with a ‌22.3% ‌YoY increase; and passengers were sent to ‌61 international and regional destinations, all setting new historical records. ‌In terms of cargo transportation‌, the annual cargo and mail throughput reached ‌2.05 million tons‌ with a 9%‌ YoY increase; international and regional cargo and mail throughput totaled ‌1.06 million tons with a ‌10%‌ YoY increase, both hitting record highs. ‌A total of 448,000 flights‌ took off and landed throughout the year.

Shenzhen Airport covers a total area of 28.3 square kilometers and boasts first-class hardware facilities. According to the airport master plan (2020 version), Shenzhen Airport will form a “3+3+3+1” operation pattern consisting of three runways, three terminal areas, three cargo areas and one satellite hall. As of now, it has built Runways 1, 2 and 3, Terminal 3 Complex, Satellite Hall, East Cargo Area, and South Cargo Area, and is accelerating the construction of Terminal 1 Complex, Terminal 2 Complex, North Cargo Area and other facilities.
